Tap to set the cursor in the general vicinity of what you need to change, then hold down the orange key. You'll see the cursor change to a little four-arrow thingie. Drag your finger on the screen in the direction you want the cursor to move. I have to say that I have a bit of trouble doing this precisely, and I'm apt to get "close enough" and the backspace to fix a couple of characters around the one I actually need to change. But it's doable...
