Actually, from what I've heard, Froyo (ie 2.2), is not any big improvement over 2.1. I'm sure it's an improvement, but as the version number would indicate, it's probably an incremental one. I feel Craig's pain about the laggyness of the Pre (at least on Sprint - I get the sense that the Pre Plus is less laggy, but I could be wrong). Palm is an underdog and for some reason that's appealing to me. That alone probably wouldn't keep me with them. If they hadn't been baught by HP, I might be tempted by the EVO as well. But I'm in no rush to jump ship just because there's some new shiny device out there. I want to at least give Palm (and HP) the benefit of the doubt and see what pans out. I'm not waiting forever, of course. If Palm/HP is still completely silent about when the next device will be landing by Fall, I think it will start becoming increasingly difficult to hold on. But I've been chugging along fine with the Pre for a year and while it has some frustrations to be sure, and it's far from perfect, I don't feel the need to take on the pain of switching platforms yet again just a year after my last one...
