Heh, yeah, saw that. While it doesn't bode well, I wonder how much it matters? I mean WebOS was well-designed and I guess we should give Duarte credit for that. But it doesn't seem like much has happened design-wise since the Pre came out. I wonder if his role in designing the look and feel of the OS would be relevant to things going forward? I mean, the major decisions have been made, so at this point it's mostly tweaking. Does it matter that you have this guy for much more minor tweaks? I don't know, but I'd venture not. Not that it would hurt, but I just wonder. Seems like given the stuff I've heard about Android's UI, that he will have a lot more effect going forward in that camp, so it makes sense. Sure I'd love all the talent possible behind the Pre, but I don't think this move presages anything. Seems fairly isolated. Now if you had some other big names from the developer's group bailing, I'd be a heck of a lot more worried!
