I certainly didn't do it (intentionally). I received the replacement Pre in the mail. All I did was turn off the old one and activated the new one. Then later when I tried to use the old one (to get to some apps), it wanted to create a Palm profile, etc. Weird. If you turn it on and its asking you for a Palm Profile, it is back to factory specs. The only way to use it is to have it activated, login to your old Profile, have it set back up and hope that the apps you need were part of the back up.
