But any penalties should be proportional. None of this "You owe $250,000 for each copy and now owe us millions of dollars for these 8 songs and now must file for bankruptcy and be ruined for the rest of your life because you'll never be able to pay off this judgement against you..."
Ruining someone for life is hardly proportional.
