It would seem that CrowdSupply made its announcement a little bit too early, but the partnership is legitimate.
RMS told me in an email that they are "trying to straighten things out with
them [CrowdSupply]", and that they like CrowdSupply because they think it's
possible to donate to projects without proprietary JavaScript.
