Please, try to be clearer. As far as I understand, you try to update your  
system. What exactly happens if you run the "Software Updater" in the "System  
Settings" and enter your password (if asked)? If an error message is shown,  
what is it? Like onpon4 wrote, the server where you download your updates  
might be down and you only need to try again later. If you cannot wait, you  
can choose another server from "Software & Updates" in the "System Settings".
