Also, why can't a GRUB password be an option given during installation. Check  
a box if you want it and vice-versa if you don't. My advice is make the  
default off. Explanation and/or advice can be offered, or given if a link is  
clicked. Even if the default is that it is on, at least the user has been  
warned of, or alerted to, this feature.

To not do at least this is hostile to most Trisquel users and contrary to  
Trisquel's mission.
