The problems with AMD gpus are several: no video acceleration, resolution  
issues, ultra crappy performance and above all (and believe me this is the  
real big problem when you run that sort of hardware) is that you'll be  
stressing out your CPU and using 100% of it even for simple tasks like  
watching a 720p video and in the summer this equals to the cpu staying almost  
constantly at insane temperatures which may very well cause severe damage to  
your hardware. I once played Doom (prboom +) on it in June or July and the  
temps got close to 100 C and the lappy just shut down.
AMD is the worse. Don't buy it and if you already have one sell it and get an  
old lappy with intel integrated GPU for that money.
