Today I ran the dist-upgrade from 7 to 8 in a terminal using the sandbox option. Took almost an hour, but it looks like there were no real errors, although the final message said that it ended "with errors". (see screenshot)

BTW, I'm running it on a Libreboot Thinkpad T400.
Also, let me know if you have suggestions on how to report these - what was missing, what was unnecessary.
