There's no need to hand-hold for servers. The installer supports making your  
own custom choices and if you're technical enough (which you should be if  
you're setting up a server from scratch), it's no big deal at all. In fact I  
tend to completely avoid those kinds of automatic partition choices for this  
exact reason.

I think the automatic partitioning should do one of two things:
1. Set a minimum size for / which is quite large.
2. Just default to having only "/", no "/home".
