Sure, I understand that lies are mixed with truth to make them acceptable.

I wish we could find it within ourselves to drop our religious affiliations.
It seems to me that much time is wasted on some people trying to preserve
their Mormon status, and on some people trying to preserve their Christian
status and make that Christian status something different than Mormon.

I am more than willing to drop my affiliation of being a Christian. What
about others here? Can you affirm your faith in Jesus Christ without
feeling like you need to be known as a Christian too?

Imagine what it would be like if none of us on the list were known as
Mormon, Christian, Protestant, Jewish, whatever. Imagine if we all simply
pursued Truth, and discussed in a way that we might increase our
understanding of Truth. Each statement or assertion would stand upon its
own merits, not as to whether or not it helped the Mormon cause or the
Protestant cause.

I yearn for the day when we all realize that none of us know the whole
truth, and that no religion on earth has the whole truth. Then some of the
fighting can be set aside and meaningful discussion coupled with peace will
be more prevalent.

Peace be with you.
David Miller.
