Judy,

I didn't find that CNN thing a bit funny and it

saddened me that some of you did.  Michael Jackson is a mess, the product

of a massively dysfunctional home and presently held captive by the

powers of darkness.  How can we claim to fear God while laughing at that

caricature of another man's pain?

Judy,

You are correct in saying that MJ's reprobate state is not funny.  The humor, if there is any, is simply in acknowledging the pathetic, childish, demonic state to which perversion can bring what should have been a man.

Coddling and excusing sin is just as not funny. MJ is not just a VICTIM of his sin; he is complicit in actively CHOOSING it. His state of depravity shows how very much he chose to be that way. MJ was blessed with more opportunity than most people ever see; his wealth and fame could have been used for good. We ALL have experienced bad things in our lives.  Some choose to overcome by the grace of God. Then God is always there to meet them more than halfway.

Psalm 52
5
       But God will break you down forever;
          He will snatch you up and (1) tear you away from your tent,
          And (2) uproot you from the (3) land of the living. Selah.
6
       The righteous will (4) see and fear,
          And will (5) laugh at him, saying,
7
       "Behold, the man who would not make God his refuge,
          But (6) trusted in the abundance of his riches
          And (7) was strong in his evil desire."

Proverbs 1
25
       And you (1) neglected all my counsel
          And did not (2) want my reproof;
26
       I will also (3) laugh at your (4) calamity;
          I will mock when your (5) dread comes,
27
       When your dread comes like a storm
          And your calamity comes like a (6) whirlwind,
          When distress and anguish come upon you.
