DAVEH:  You've lost me on that one, Terry.  Are you not aware there are prophets currently alive?  Not counting LDS prophets, we have a member of TT who is a (claimed) prophet.  Staying with the strictest sense of the word, it has been even longer since an ass spoke for God. DAVEH:  Are you suggesting revelation from the HS now is somehow different than in Bible times?  Perhaps I should ask you more direct questions.  Do you believe the heavens are closed, and God no longer speaks to man as he did in Bible times?  I used to be under the impression that was common Protestant doctrine.  However, after joining TT I thought I was informed that I had a mistaken impression, as it is not the case at all.  I was told prophets do exist in the Protestant realm.     FWIW.....To me this seems a pretty important question.  Prophets were necessary in Bible times, and it seems they would be handy to have in present day.  Where do you think Protestantism stands on this, Terry?
