FWIW.....To me this seems a pretty important question.  Prophets were necessary in Bible times, and it seems they would be handy to have in present day.  Where do you think Protestantism stands on this, Terry?

I cannot answer that Dave, 'cause I am not a protestant, just a narrow minded fundamentalist.  To my way of thinking, John the Baptist was probably the last genuine prophet.  I figger that most of those claiming to be prophets or healers or apostles today are for the most part trying to make a buck in Jesus name.  Some, like Benny Hinn, are making a bundle at it.  The Mormons don't have a lock on phoney preachers.
