Do you want to know why Prophets do not exist?
Luke 16:16 THE PROPHETS WERE UNTIL JOHN
Hebrews 1:1 Prophets are passed away NOW God speaks through His son
What is so hard to understand about this. It is the Plain teaching of scripture.

Judy:
Everything would be more neat and tidy if the above were the whole truth
Kevin but it is not so.  What are you going to do with 1 Cor 12:28,29 "GOD
has appointed in the Church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers,
then iracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, various kinds of
tongues"?

Kevin:
You say Paul is a prophet,
I say Paul was an Apostle not a prophet. Acts 14:14
Paul says he is a APOSTLE
Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God
1 Co 1:1 Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God
Paul an APOSTLE Gal 1:1, Eph 1:1, Col 1:1, 1Tim 1:1, 2 Tim 1:1, Titus 1:1
Plain teaching of Paul & Scripture, what is so hard?

Judy:
What about Agabus who is called a prophet (see Acts 21:10); and the
prophets named at the Church in Antioch (Acts 13:1); being a prophet
is a NT Ministry gifting.

Kevin:
Paul said Rom 15:19 I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
There is not more to reveal.
When you get right what God has already revealed maybe He will reveal more to you.

Judy:
Scripture teaches that the Testimony of Jesus IS the Spirit of Prophecy Kevin
(see Revelation 19:10) and we are warned against adding to and/or taking
from the Word of Truth.  Why would Paul encourage us to 'covet to prophesy'
and warn against 'false prophets' when it would be so much easier just to make
it all pass away with the last apostle?  It would be easier and tidier but not
honest.

Grace and Peace,
Judy
