Someone said, "Noone will spend an eternity in torment who has not personally chosen this end." Consider Matthew 12:30. Perhaps the term "who has not personally chosen" is a bit too narrow.
 
I do not buy the argument that one must personally choose, either.
 
Perhaps the best way to explain my idea is by the term "Greater Hope," because I make room for those who are not exposed to the revelation of God that we've been privileged to possessed.
 
"Choosing this end," I think, can be as easy as putting off the acceptance of the Revelation by postponing the decision for a number of reasons (except the need for more revelation, which is a perfectly good reason to postpone a decision).
