It saddens me that the microcosm of TT has continued to reflect what I've experienced on a larger scale in this bookstore for 16 years.(I'm right, you're wrong &to hell with your dumb ideas. Furthermore Scripture itself demonstrates unequivocally how right I am and how wrong you are!)
Lance, my man -- much too negative in my opinion. I am on two other forums and this one is the most enjoyable -- the one I learn the most from. And look at its make up -- a oneness brother (Chris) who actually is a gifted defender of his view when he is not doing the add homony things; BillT the teacher, Jonathan -- the theologian with his emotions on his sleave and heart full of well placed knowledge (for the most part -- no one is perfect), Terry, a member of the Great Generation but with enough patience to remain on this list, Judy and Izzy -- defending their faith with a growing effectiveness, you -- a great sense of humor and the ability to make a point with few words (appreciated), David H, a capable "discussionist," the young man who is gay (perhaps he has gone his way but I personally hope not), and so on.
You lift up Jonathan and Bill and I do believe they are effective spokesmen and am glad that they are here but the noteworthy aspect of this forum is that many effectively represent their individual theologies. Others do not agree (perhaps) but I am glad that we are not judged by our doctrinal correctness (I Co 8 and Ro 14) in spite of the fact that it (doctrinal correctness -- none of us are thoroughly wrong) is a path to the knowledge of God (per BillT) and, to date, none of us have told the others to go to hell.
