'of one heart and mind'...'get it together' Surely nobody thinks that's going to happen? I'm serious.

Paul thought it would and could happen when he wrote "that ye stand fast in one spirit with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel" (Phil 1:27) and "Fulfil ye my joy that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves...." Why can't it happen? I'm serious also ... judyt
John writes:
This hadn't happened at the time of the writing. It is a command to accomplish - not a statement of a present reality. Can it happen? Depends on your definition of "unity" and "like mindedness." John

Judyt:
How about the "mind
of Christ"?
"Let this mind be
in you, which was also in Christ Jesus; who, being in the form of God, thought
it not robbery to be equal with God, but made himself of no reputation, and took
upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men, and being
found in fashion as a man he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death,
even the death of the cross." (Phil 2:5)
and "Let us mind
the same thing" (Phil 3:16) Seems to me like this is normal every day
Christian living. judyt
