We're 'swimming in Greek soup' as someone said recently.   Why call it gnosticism - evil spirits are also the same in every generation and the professing church is full of them. People are deceived because they are 'deceiving spirits'  Could be the same as the ones promoting gnosticism but why put an 'ism on them.?.   The outline contained herein is clear and helpful to all but, apprehended by only some (Gnostic pun intended). Any attempt to press these matters further might only be hurtful. 'What we have here is a failure to communicate' (one of my favorite lines from one of my favorite movies-Cool Hand Luke). Therefore, why not just press on allowing for the reality that there are at least two 'camps' present in this dialogue?   On whose part Lance?  Are you ready to take up 613 Mitzvah's and 1050 rules in the Newer Testament now to get rid of your Hellenized thinking?
