Judy can defend herself Slade, but as a third party observing the goings on here, I see no hatred.  She knows what she believes and you know what you believe.  Neither of you will change until you get to Heaven and learn all the things you don't know now.

There have been at least three people on this forum who have been far FAR more antagonistic, but many of her posts seem to be angry or hateful. For instance, the first post from Bill was attacked and he was accused of having constructed his own god without a dialog. Why? Why not dialogue to determine his stance on things instead of running to the nastiest conclusion?

You and Lance should respect what Terry says Slade.  Not only is he probably your elder, he has understanding and this is why he can say there is no hatred. He and I don't see every jot and tittle eye to eye but are OK with the basics and I have no doubt we listen to the same Holy Spirit.

I would like to point out that countless people have been led to Christ by people without any understanding of Greek or Hebrew, and with no mention of the torah.  The Lord has used me to accomplish that with a few, and I am not even skilled in English.  If not for the working of the Holy Spirit, I would be lost and those that I have shared the Gospel with would be lost.  If Greek and Hebrew and higher education and tradition are your thing, go for it, but just because you find it interesting as a Jewish scholar, please do not assume that it is necessary for a backwoods gentile.  God has done very well so far with the English translation, and He is able to use us with all our shortcomings at any time He desires.
No disrespect intended.  Please do not read anything that is not there.  Like Judy, I am plain spoken.  I don't know how to be any other way with out being counterfeit.

I agree with you. Knowledge of few Scriptures is required to effectively witness to people, but that doesn't mean can stop with the 20 or so verses required to witness to those who need Messiah. I choose to seek more knowledge to straighten my walk but not necessary. I want to understand as completely as possible, the way people thought and lived in Yeshua's time so that I can better understand the words of Yeshua. Necessary? No. You said yourself (and quite correctly) people have been reached without the extra stuff. As a teacher, I need to learn the extra stuff so I can better teach people to increase their understanding of Scripture. As far as I know, I am plain spoken as well. You are not 'plain spoken' Slade. You and Jeff use a lot of foreign words, either Hebrew or Yiddish. What happened to becoming all things to all men that you might win some. At least this is what Paul did and he probably had a better education (after the flesh and this is what he calls it) than anyone.
