I did not mean to put this response off for so long. This weekend has been busy.
I guess when I was writing I was speaking about humans. When it comes to the spirtual world, I do not exactly know what happens for the evil spirits and Satan. Before anyone starts jumping on that comment let me clarify what I do know. I do know that the Bible is very clear about what happens in the end for Satan. He will be thrown into the Lake of Fire for eternity. Also, Ephesian 6:12 says: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. But I also think of the prodigal son parable. Although it seems impossible for Satan to turn from his ways, there is something in me that hopes for that. So basically my answer is I do not know.
