Actually, Iz, I am going to end my discusion with you. You assert that liberals want to change the meaning of the biblical text and when asked for evidence, you want me to look at divorce statistics!!!     Your bias and opinion are things that do not benefit me to any degree at all and are certainly not regarded as salient arguments.  Your disgust for "liberals" (something you cannot define with any sense of consistency) has blinded you to any "new" ideas and , my dear, you are a lazy student of the bibilcial message, preferring the proof-text Bible (also known as a "concordance") to  actual meditative study,  an appreciation for exegesis and contexual studies and  meaningful exhange of ideas among fellow Christians.   We have nothing in common.
