This is not an explanation I would have come up with  --   I do see your point.   However,  I would not think Paul considered the Messianic Church to be an extention of Judaism, rather an apostasy -  a heresy.   More than concern for a population that would not understand the holiness of the sancturary  --  he considered the Christians to be not of God.  They were every bit an enemy as the Romans, if not more, because they could be considered a perversion of his Faith.
