Hello,
Judy.
You
say that God is Spirit. This is true. Is man spirit? Man has spirit. We were
created as a living nefesh... translate that any way you want. You guys throw
these terms [spirit, soul] around without definition and when you try to define
them they still make no sense to me. No hope there, I'm
afraid.
I
THINK the problem arises in something far deeper than a vague,
mystical definition: it lies more in the part of speech. You define spirit as a
noun, perhaps, or some other derivation of that concept. I define spirit as a
verb or some derivation of that concept.
Man is
spirit like man is... skin and bones. Right? That's what you think,
right?
Slade
thinks "we must worship in Spirit and Truth" -- Spirit being
HOW we worship (i.e., a command must be obeyed from within
-- motivated by love for God & Man -- otherwise it;'s not
obeyed).
Let me
reiterate to you. I CANNOT separate flesh and spirit. It makes
NO SENSE to me.
Making
humanity in His image as nothing to do with "man being spirit." It's
man HAVING Spirit (see two paragraphs above). If I can't get
you to understand this, there's no point in continuing because we are speaking
so differently, it's becoming an exercise in futility.
