BLAINE: The main difference between the Battlestar Galactica series and the
BoM is that the former admits to be fiction, while the Book of Mormon is a
record of what really happened to a once great people. It tells us that
history may repeat itself, and indeed seems to be doing exactly that, as we
struggle with secret terrorist organizations throughout the world. The Book of
Mormon Gandianton Robbers was such, atttracting myriads of individuals who did
not want to work for a living--preferrring to live off ill-gotten gains by
robbing, stealing, murdering, etc. These robbers brought down the Nephite
civilization by basically corrupting it, and killing off anyone who opposed
them. Iraqi and Palestinian terrorist organizations are attempting to do the
same thing. The Book of Mormon is a warning to all peoples in these latter
days that any nation supporting this evil will end up being destroyed.

It was the Battlestar Galatica that was based on LDS doctrine.
I all goes back to Kobol or is it Kolob?

BLAINE: Even when we are "sure" of something, it may turn out to be wrong.
Rashly judging something such as the Shroud of Turin to be a fake, or the Book
of Mormon, another example, puts one out on a limb from which it is sometimes
difficult to extract oneself. Called eating crow!

The Shroud of Turin could feasibly be the real thingunlikely, but within the
realm of possiblity. The BoM is about as real as the Starship Enterprise. In
fact, maybe thats where it originated. Izzy
