You and I fully agree, apparently. That is why I make a big deal out of loving the Master  -- relational Kingdom theology  as they say.   While you emphasize the actions of others.   If we are agreed  --  why the difference?

No no JD.

I tried to make it clear I was NOT saying you are self-absorbed. Did you read my earlier posts to Lance about self-absorbed Christianity? Where we focus on ourselves when we're trying to follow Christ? Naturally, that practice would lead to frustration. The question you posed to me...

Your love for God is based upon the degree of accomplished righteousness ???

...would lead to frustration if that were the creed a Christian walked by. God has a different plan for each person's life. Isaiah preach naked in the street for three days. Elijah spent some of his life feeling very alone--he thought he was last one on earth that loved God. I am saying to not worry about your degree of righteousness, and simply love God in all you do, and you WILL accomplish righteousness. You will work righteousness in your life.

Righteousness is a product of loving God.

Now that you have settled yourself about an aspect of my character  --  would you mind answering the question in clear and concise terms?  Please note that a "comment" not made by me  --  only a question.

That is a self-absorbed comment. I am not saying you are self-absorbed, JD, but that comment is a self-absorbed mindset when following Christ. If you love God, you will live righteously.

By the way, "this is love, that we walk after his commandments." ( 2John 1:6)

I am not saying we should be obsessed with our personal righteousness, but that we will be righteous and blameless when we love God and walk in that love. I am trying very hard to understand why this is troubling to you.

Uh, yes Lance, that is what I meant when I wrote:

> When you truly love God, you will love Him in

you
> truly love God, you will not sin in all you do.

That is how you walk in righteousness. My father and I
are not saying to live for righteousness's sake, but
for Christ's sake, and your life will be glorify God.

You disagree with this?
