From: "Lance Muir":
Mr. Moderator: God alone knows who those are who participate in Christ
actively and consciously (those who are 'born from above). IMO all such
express their understanding of the One who made this possible (The One and
only Lord, Jesus, God with us) along with their experience of Him)
partially
and inadequately (He and our experience of Him transcend human vocabulary).
I agree. We can speak truthfully only about that which has been revealed
to us. Everything else is our personal interpretation. But, they way we
correct what we may feel is an incorrect understanding or interpretstion is
by forming Biblical arguments and proofs to the contrary, not by demeaning
one another.
Jesus spoke out against the religious leaders he encountered vociferously.
There was no moderator to say "Hold on just a minute, Jesus! You may attack
what they said but, you must not attack them. This 'whited sepulchre'
business is a bit strong, isn't it?"
Yes, He did. Jesus rebuking men in error is a bit different than the
fallen creation demeaning each other. If any of us spoke with the authority
of the One who was without sin, I would not have the right to moderate Him.
However, our being in a fallen state, imperfect, and still being sinners, as
you have pointed out, we need moderating.
