John,
You certainly do make sense, in that I understand what you are saying,
but I differ in that I KNOW the jesus and god of the mormons is a different
Jesus and God than I worship. Joseph Smith may have started with the Jesus
and God of the Bible, or maybe not, but whether he did or not, they are not
the same today.
My human brothers may share a different destiny than mine, but my
Christian brothers all share my destiny. Based solely on their religious
beliefs I cannot call any mormon a Christian brother. Before I would
consider them as such they would have to denounce the teachings of Joseph
Smith and denounce the false christ and god of mormonism.

I hope you understand that being a brother is not a statement as to one's
destiny........ that is something I cannot know. That being said -- my
answer to your questions is yes, I believe it to be the same Christ. I
do not believe that his thinking on Christ is any more off base (from my
point of view) than Judy Taylor's. Her views are heretical (IMO) yet, I
accept her claim to be a Christian.
Now DH will not agree with this, but Joe Smith started his whatever with
the Christ of the Bible and added to THAT concept. That is exactly what
Judy has done ............... and all those who agree with her
teaching. I suspect that I have done much of the same -- but without
seeing any error in what I believe.
Do I make any sense on this?
