The problem is that the text isn't all that useful. If you want some
technical details I can surely translate it for you.

The conclusion doesn't comment much SW vs HW, it talks about controllers
(point being that cheapo cards do not offer hotswap, but the decision to
use HW or SW goes beyond that, I don't even use the HW RAID on my
controllers, I just use their hotswap capabilities).
