There are also other advantages here: 1. eating out own dog food 2. using Scarab for this purpose will increase exposure to Scarab and may lead to its adoption for other projects 3. if users need a tracking solution for a non-open-source project then Scarab has a better license with no monetary outlay - it is easier to adopt a solution that a user knows (hopefully Scarab) rather than a different one (harder to adopt Scarab id Jira is being used by turbine projects) 4. the tigris style stuff rocks - I am in the process of adopting it for my projects 5. Scarab provides an excellent example of a turbine application, by simply using Scarab you get to see what is possible with turbine (etc.). You can then grab the source and see how its done (having looked at this myself I have changed a few of my implementation patterns even though I am back on turbine 2.1). But... Doesn't Maven use Jira? Should we ultimately be going for a consistent solution, at across all of the turbine projects? Cheers, Scott -- Scott Eade Backstage Technologies Pty.
