Open Standards and Open Implementations are two different things. I don't
see any OSS implementations of JDO and given that the JCP doesn't allow for
OSS implementations of their spec's... Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

You also need to remember that most of Turbine's technologies came long
before quite a lot of this stuff from Sun. So, even though Sun decides to
come out with something that we have been working on for years now, that
doesn't mean we are going to suddenly drop what we have been working on and
support something else.
