You sure you didn't download 2.1b4? There is a problem with
Catalina in that TDK. The response time on my machine is pretty
quick and I have a PII/300Mhz machine. I assume you are using
Apache Bench? I will run some tests on my machine.

There was a performance problem with the TDKs previous to
the 2.1 final. I assume that's what the problem is.
