I run the 2.1 final TDK on win2k on a PIII 500 (sun jdk 1.3.0) and performance is very
fast (sub second). My
module cache is turned off.
Could it be the fact that you start the VM with your entire RAM as the heap size ?? I
don't know a lot about
that kind of stuff but it sounds excessive... my setup just uses the normal jdk
settings and performs fine.
