Hi all,
I urgently need some help in finding a commercial site
that uses Turbine and/or WebMacro, or my boss will force
us to use ASP as the base for the next version of our
application. I'm sure you understand how sick that
makes me feel.
He doesn't listen to arguments such as VB being a toy
language compared to Java, and thinks that ASP is the
fastest and safest way to build a web application. The
usual fear of open source tools is also present, of course.
So, I need help! Quickly, since he's about to make the
decision on what to use! How do I explain that Turbine is
a better and safer alternative than ASP, WebLogic and
WebSphere? Where can I point him to saying: Those guys
build the same type of system we are, using these tools,
and it works great? How can I convince him that the
development time with Turbine and WebMacro will be shorter
than with any of the alternatives? We (3 people) MUST
be finished by December, or we're fried. How can I
convince him that the application WILL work perfectly
in December?
The ASP and WebSphere guys have lots of reference sites
to point to, and I've got exactly none. I tried searching
the Jyve FAQ, but didn't find anything applicable.
PLEASE help me, because I've run out of arguments. :(
