Those points are pure fantasy. 

I have not expressed *complaints* against the Services API.
I've stated that the service API is not the right tool for what I 
was doing and I chose not to use it not out of ignorance but out
of choice. Not a compaint, a fact.

I do feel the naming convention can be improved (see my proposal)
but it's a pretty minor point and a completely unrelated issue.

Come on, Jon, don't deform everything I write into a criticism of the 
framework. I have none. I just explained my motives for the subclassing.

There's no real need to argue the point more since this is transient, 
you effectively prevented the subclass of Turbine and don't care to explain
in a comprehensive way (and coherent with the existing code) what the 
service API is designed or not designed to do.
End of this story.
