It is becoming obvious to me (and everyone else, most likely) that I am not going to be able to keep up with summaries for this list. In my opinion the list is simply "bigger" than that. The python-devel list (referenced in the first call for summaries) experienced roughly 1/4 of the volume in Dec '06 that this list did. I fell behind over the break, and from all appearances the *rate* of new messages is also increasing. (We are 11 days into January and already have ~700 messages, which is very roughly 2/3 of last month's total)
Although I am excited about all of the increased interest, something will have to be done to help get summaries to people that can't keep up with the traffic. Does anyone have ideas on how to handle this situation? I am not aware of any summaries being done for lists of this volume, so it may very well take an innovative approach to make this work.
