I'm pleased to announce the Display Shelf TurboGears (+Flex) widget that
James Ward and I created today:

As far as I know, this is the first example of a Flex component wrapped as a
TurboGears widget. It was easy to do, and it's a very spiffy effect.
Too bad it's not as useful if it rules out a lot of users that either don't
have flash or have an old version of it. This is the first site (the demo)
that I tried using that didn't work with my flash install. Since I run a very
up to date install of SuSE Linux, I believe that other Linux users will have
troubles using this widget. (There's a newly released Flash 9, I haven't
installed it yet but it is so recent that we can count that to be unavailable
on every box that doesn't belong to an update-addicted user :-))
This is, IMHO, the worst problem with Flash. There are other problems, such
as usability, bookmarking, etc.
Anyway, it is nice to see this widget (saw that on the client's Windows
machine). Nice work.
