It may just be the trans-Atlantic transmission. I'm not aware that there were any games in SD only this season, and the only ones that I can remember in SD for the previous couple seasons were ones which weren't expected to be very competitive or have big audiences and fell during the time of year when baseball, pro football, and college football caused a lack of mobile HD production equipment.
