You know, I thought the extreme right wing had been dethroned. Not only were they not in power anymore, they seemed to be despised the world over. Why do people continually bend over and kiss their collective asses? Dave said what needed to be said last week. Anyone with a brain knew his intent and those without a brain can continue to vote for Palin and her kind. I am extremely disappointed in Letterman. There is no honor in this apology; it is just pathetic and sad. It seems the whack jobs of this nation continue to hold the power despite things like elections and public opinion polls. We continually surrender to their idiotic notions. What seems a small moment in the history of a late night TV show is actually a large sign of the fundamental failure of American political structure. -- Kevin M.
