This was not the first joke about Governor Palin's brood getting knocked up, so
the selection of this joke at this time suggests that the Governor's outrage is
manufactured. What the hell was she doing when other late night comics or
Saturday Night Live performers were making fun of how badly she raises her kids?

The Ex-Chief was put off by a SNL sketch that suggested incest in the Palin
family. Where was the Governor then? Her outrage now, and her lack of outrage
then, were politically motivated, so I will not take her alleged offense at
this seriously.

Like Dave said if you have to explain the joke, it's not a joke. Dave did the
right thing. Liberals never see wrong when a Conservative is wronged.

As soon as Sarah Palin publicly apologizes to her children for using
them as media tools, maybe I would begin to consider it reasonable for
Letterman to consider privately apologizing to her kids. Come to think
of it, I can't recall the last time a conservative figure apologized
for anything.

Letterman's apology was to appease the extreme right who worship Palin
as if she is the God she claims to believe in. It made me sick to my
stomach to see a comic bowing down and kissing their feet. I think a
lot less highly of Letterman today, and I think America is in serious
peril if these extremists continue to use their power and influence to
silence dissenting voices.
