I read someone today referring to Jay as "NBC's Camilla Parker Bowles": that absolutely no one sees what they see in him. And that, for whatever reason, colors NBC's view of Leno.
At the start of this, I really thought (and I think someone else posted something akin to this around here) that, if Jay Leno had even an ounce of respect for either himself or the network who has stuck with him, he'd bow out graciously. To be clear, he has every right to do what he is doing: in doing so, however, he looks to me like a greedy, selfish weasel.
