Again, correct me if I'm wrong, but I recall the story being that it
wasn't that Jay "took" The Tonight Show away as much as NBC handed it
to him behind Dave's back. Dave knew that NBC was the one jerking him
around, not Jay.

I did not know of the staff sex joke, but I don't think that's as much
of a shot as the impersonation. YMMV.
