The reviews/critics said you could watch "CoE" and not be lost if you didn't see the series. Loved the mini, caught up with the series on iTunes and found season 1 to be a mixed bag - better as it went along - and I liked season 2. The cheapo special effects are still very distracting for me. That's my biggest problem with the program - high school kids with a Mac and a flip cam could beat some of their effects.
