I think there was a decent balance between the stereotyping of Indians
and Americans. Take the scene with the cow; the lead American thought
the cow odd and it made no sense to him until an Indian explained it
as a part of their culture -- but even then he didn't quite get it.
Juxtapose that with the scene where the Indians are introduced to the
novelty items; the Indians questioned their purpose and the lead
American explained it as a sign of our freedom to be silly -- but even
then they didn't really quite get it.

The specific form of lip-syncing a song as a group in one take like
that has become known as a lip-dub, and it has taken on a life of its
own on YouTube. We've talked about it earlier on the list. Honestly, I
wasn't looking at the screen when the song started and assumed it to
be a commercial, so I didn't really pay attention to the beginning of
"The Office."
