The opinion about having casinos replace online poker sites is mine
and not that of Paul Harris. The source from Harris is the idea of
people now unable to play poker online can be brought into casinos for
games. If the TV poker shows go away the casinos might not reap the
online refugees so that gives the casinos motivation to pick up the
advertising and keep the shows on the air. The problem is that the
gambling business is fragmented and there's no single company or
organization that would see the self-interest in buying national ads
or sponsoring a show or the World Series of Poker. That's why I
thought they'd pool together. It's also possible that one big company
like Harrah's has enough casinos in enough markets that they'd do
national ad buys.
