I feel the same way, and as you point out, Lazarus has committed to this
("We will make every event available, on one platform or another, live,"
said Lazarus). I m hoping this means on one of their cable platforms, but I
am afraid he means he will stream it online (which will work ok for me in
the summer, but for the winter games I would rather be able to record the
live event whenever it happens and watch it when I am ready).

This will be an interesting test - Ebersol seemed to believe that showing an
event live early in the day would undercut primetime ratings; I always
thought that most of the primetime audience (judging by my wife, who almost
always wants to know the results before watching something - but then
watches it anyway) would not be diminished, and if it is a big event with a
dramatic outcome, showing it early might even pump the ratings up.
