I suspect not much will change--the cable coverage will be straightforward (and Versus/whatever they're going to call it and the Comcast regional channels will probably be Olympics 24/7 or near 24/7 when the local pro sports teams aren't on the regional channels) and prime time will be continue to be pre-taped, finessed and story-told. Remember, the prime network TV audience is still predominately female and Conventional Wisdom built up by decades of Olympic coverage states that they won't be interested in straight coverage. Which makes me wonder: Did the CBC have the 2010 Winter Games or had the CTV/TSN contract started then? If CTV had 2010, did they go more in the U.S. TV route on prime time coverage instead of the straightforward coverage the CBC did? -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
