Pre-taping almost everything airing in prime time, even if the action
was going on in U.S. prime time, parceling it out so that the viewers
have to stay through the end of the coverage to find out the outcome,
overemphasizing "story arcs" on U.S. or "heartwarming story" athletes,
etc.  With some exceptions, I'm sure my fellow Americans here will
agree that that was the way NBC covered Olympics (and to a certain
extent, ABC--they did try to be live in prime time whenever possible
more than NBC).
