This season's "The Amazing Race" is notable for having such a collection of unlikable teams. About the only likable team are Mark and Bopper, an ebony and ivory team from rural Kentucky with thick Appalachian accents. Bopper reinjured his knee in a previous episode, so he had to take it easy on the physical challenges in the most recent race, which went through Indian. So that meant when it came time to learn to do a Bollywood dance routine, it was up to Mark. Mark has been in poor health also through out the race. He's prone to motion sickness, which he demonstrated on a bus in an earlier leg of the race. So they arrive last at the dance routine and Mark cannot learn the dance. He tries to do it more than a dozen times but cannot pick up the routine to the choreographer's satisfication. The heat is taking its toll and Mark decides to call it quits and starts disrobing. He's out of the race. Bopper and the choreographer talk him in to trying one more time. He gets up on stage. There's much editing, with reaction shots from Bopper, but it's clear Mark is no where close to matching the routine. But they give it to him anyway. They turn up at the mat. Phil tells them they're the last team to arrive. Then it turns out it's a non-elimination leg. Clearly, they gave this to him. Despite the editing, you could tell he was no where near to matching the other dancers. If Mark and Bopper somehow make it to one of the last three teams in the race, I think the fourth team has a basis for a lawsuit. Anyone else see the episode? What do you think?
